In order to establish a platform for learning and communication, share excellent early reading management experiences, and leverage the exemplary and leading role of student cadres, recently, the Moral Education Department of our Senior High School Department jointly with the Teaching Department organized the class monitors and study committee members of Senior Three to visit Senior One and observe the implementation of early reading activities on-site.
To begin with, in the Senior One classrooms, the observation team carefully observed the organization mode of the morning reading sessions, during which the Senior One students were full of energy, standing in a neat posture, holding their books and reading aloud with full concentration. Therefore, the loud reading sounds filled the classroom. Also, the electronic screen clearly displayed the morning reading tasks and messages for that day, with clear goals and orderly arrangements. The strong atmosphere of diligent study infected every student cadre present.
Subsequently, in the corridor of the teaching building, teachers from the Teaching Affairs Office and the Moral Education Office organized an on-site exchange and discussion. Director Zhu Yanyan from the Senior High School Department, based on what she saw at the scene, gave a detailed explanation to the student leaders about the task design, discipline management, and efficiency improvement of morning reading, as well as practical methods for implementation. Accordingly, the class monitors and the study committee members listened attentively, who discussed and reflected on issues such as organizing morning reading sessions, task implementation, and motivating students' enthusiasm, drawing on the excellent practices of Senior One classes.
On the whole, this cross-grade observation activity started with morning reading as the starting point, aiming to achieve the exchange of experiences and mutual learning. Moreover, student leaders broadened their management perspectives and absorbed excellent class management experiences during the observation and learning process. More remarkably, the Senior High School Department of Anqing Foreign Language School will continue to deeply focus on the construction of academic atmosphere, and through various exchange activities, stimulate students' enthusiasm for self-management and create a campus atmosphere of diligent study, thinking well, and striving to surpass each other.
